Third grade is an exciting year of learning and growth! I am so excited to teach your child and help to foster a love of learning! My goals this year are to provide your child with a caring learning environment and to help your child reach his or her fullest potential. 3A Learning Updates

Reader’s Workshop
We will be talking about building our reading community and the expectations for Reader's Workshop.

Writer’s Workshop

We will be talking about building our writing community and the expectations for Writer's Workshop.

ELA/Grammar

We will be learning about complete sentences and sujects and predicates.

Math

We are working on Lesson 1, which talks focuses on rounding.

We are working onback to school activities in Social Studies and will be starting our first unit soon.

We will begin our first Science unit upon the completion of our first Social Studiees Unit.

In Religion, we are starting Unit 1, God Calls Us by Name.

Daily Homework

-Students write down their homework daily in their planners.
-Homework is also posted daily on Google Classroom under announcements. 

Classroom Birthday Party Guidelines

-You may send in goody bags for each student in the class this year. These are for the students to open at home. Any food in the goody bags must be individually wrapped with all nutrition information labeled on it. No nut products.

-A small treat may also be sent in as well. This should be one treat, not a beverage and multiple treats.  All treats must have the ingredients labled on them.

-The class will also make cards for your child and we will celebrate during snack time. Your child may dress down as well.

-If your child's birthday falls on a weekend, he or she may dress down the Friday before or Monday after and we will celebrate either of those days. Summer birthdays we will celebrate in June.
