Literacy: Follows the Reader's Workshop Model
Focus on novel studies. Some novels of study will include:
- short stories
- The Giver by Lois Lowry
- Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- novels to supplement writing instruction during English class
WEEKLY Blogging! During full weeks (5 days) of school, students will be assigned a current event article to read and answer comprehension questions. Blogs are assigned on Monday and need to be completed by 11;59pm on Thursday.
