Welcome to Mrs. Richard & Mrs. Printon's  classroom website!

SNOW EMERGENCY: Snowy weather conditions cause school closings or early dismissals. PLEASE REFER TO THE PRE-K HANDBOOK (page 8) for emergency information so that you are prepared!  NOTE:  When the radio announces that Franklin Township Schools are closed, our school is closed.  Should Franklin Township Schools be on a delayed schedule, our Pre-Kindergarten will begin at 9:30 AM.  Early dismissals due to inclement weather, will be notified by the Honeywell Alert system. PLEASE NOTE:  3 yr old class:  THE CHILDREN THAT DISMISS AT 11:00 am DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL when there is a delayed opening.  Those that come for the full day, come in at 9:30 am, in the event of a delayed opening.

Baby it's cold outside!!!  Cold air will never keep us away from the playground.  Please be certain that your child is wearing a warm coat, hat, and mittens (mittens are easy for little ones to manage) to school everyday.  We love to go outside to play, and the children need to be prepared for chilly weather!

Alphabet Letter Of The Week:  On Wednesday, January 30th, we will begin our study of the letter "Kk".   Start to discuss what your child would like to bring in for Show and Tell that begins with the letter "Kk"  for Friday, February 3rd(Remember that Show and Tell is considered homework, and is due on Friday.)

Please be sure to invest in a set of Alphabet Flash Cards to review the letters and their sounds with your child.  Your child must know the sound each letter makes when they complete the 4 yr old Pre-K Program.  Please review the letters, both upper and lower case as well as the letter sounds.  The more you practice with your child, the easier learning to read will be.  This is the time to enforce good study habits! The letters we have covered are:

Aa, Nn, Dd, Ss, Mm, Ii, Tt, Cc, Oo, Ff, Rr,Pp, Ll, Uu, and Kk

The week of February 6th, we will focus on another child to have pictures and info on the "All About Me" board.  Your child will bring home a note in their folder the Friday before it's their turn, which will explain to you the items needed from home. Next week we focus on our friend, Amritha.

4 YEAR OLDS: HOMEWORK:

Letter "U" homework is due on Friday,  February 3rd.  Please use pencil on the writing papers; color & cut the Unicorn on pg. 2.

**It is imperative that your child hands in the homework ON TIME.**  It will be sent home on Fridays (typically) and your child will have ONE WEEK to complete the homework.  ALWAYS USE A PENCIL for handwriting practice.

Please be certain to read aloud with your child the"Alphatales" book that reinforces the letter of the week and emphasizes the sound that the letter makes.  The theme will be a different letter each week & will come home in your child's folder each Friday.

 FOUR YR OLDS

Please remember: Library Day is Monday

SHOW & TELL is  Friday: Please bring in an item that begins with the letter of the week.

Please download a lunch menu each month, so you & your child can review the choices for each day.

Please do not send your child to school with 'croc-type' shoes, open toed sandals, or clogs.
