1. Conference Times - There is a "February Conferences" link to the left. Please check the link for scheduled conference times.
2. Religion Test - Tuesday, 2/7, on Ch. 13 (the Holy Spirit).
3. Mad Science Registration - Mad Science Registration forms can be found in your Wednesday envelope. Registration starts immediately. You can even register online. There is a maximum enrollment of 20 students.
4. 100th Day of School - We will celebrate the 100th Day of School on Monday, February 6th. Students should bring in a labeled baggie that contains 100 of a specific item (Cheerios, rubber bands, Pokemon Cards, pennies, etc.). The collection should be something that the child has selected and counted out on his/her own. The collections will be displayed around the classroom.
5. Religion - Students should practice the Sign of The Cross using the right hand and the correct words. A random test will be given during 3rd & 4th marking periods.
6. Valentine's Day - We will have a small Valentine's Day party on February 14th. If you would like to bring in Valentine cards for your classmates, you may do so. Please do not fill in the "TO" section on the cards. We have 27 students. Students are also asked to make and decorate a Valentine's container. Bring the containter to school on 2/14. If you would like to donate something for our class party, please let me know. Remember that all food items must have an ingredients label. Students with food allergies should bring a special treat from home on this day. A memo with all the details was sent home. You can also find an electronic copy of it under "Extra Copies".
7. Kiss Grams - Kiss Grams are available for purchase between January 30th and February 10th. Kiss Grams will be delivered to the recipients on February 14th. 5 Kisses for $1. See the SMS Wednesday Envelope section for the order form and more information.
8. Money Math - Under the "Extra Copies" link, you will find pdf files of some money math games that you can play with your child. It's good practice for counting coins. Under "My Links", you will find links to some online money sites. Parents should preview all sites before allowing children to go online. Students should be getting plenty of practice counting money, telling time, and memorizing math facts.
9. Registration Packets - Due back by February 8th.
10. Flapjack Fundraiser - On Sunday, 2/12, there will be a Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebees in Bridgewater from 8 to 10 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the SMS Athletic Association. Forms and payment are due by February 3rd. See the SMS web site for more info.
11. Spelling Test - Spelling words for the week of 2/6:  pole, smoke, brave, bell, truck, ring, work, always, done. Spelling test Friday, 2/10.

12. Dismissal - Please send in a written note whenever your child's dismissal procedure will change.
