Soccer Stars
The Franklin Township Soccer Club U-14 girls Travel team known as "The Flames" competed in the 7th Annual Readington Soccerfest on September 6th and 7th. The Flames came in First Place and were the only undefeated team in the tournament. SMS members of the team are Samantha C., Mary C., Casey H., Chelsea P., Tara S., Molly S., and Deanna Z. Way to go girls!!! Have a great season!!!

Future Architects
As 6th grade lego students, 20 of our students (who are now 7th graders) participated in a voluntary project celebrating the 150th anniversary of the American Institute of Architects. The students had their work displayed the week of June 9, 2008 at the State House Annex in Trenton. The students took pictures of places in the communities of New Jersey. The pictures depicted buildings in livable communities as well as places in the state that need improvement. We are very proud of their creativity and their wonderful use of technology.

FMI Competition
The SMS cadet band participated with the rest of the Future Musician Inc students at a competition in Hershey, PA. They achieved a "Superior" rating once again! For the first time, FMI entered a percussion ensemble in the competition, and they too earned a "Superior" rating. Job well done!!
